How much does it cost to participate?
Cambridge Basketball Lab is completely free of cost for our evening programming for all Cambridge youth! This is open to students in grades 6-12 only. If you don’t live in Cambridge but want to participate, the cost is $200 for the season. Over 95% of our student-athletes live in Cambridge.
What does a typical workout look like?
Cambridge Basketball Lab focused on mentorship and individual skill development. The best players in the world spend hundreds of hours practicing for every hour that they are “playing” basketball. There is a growing industry of private trainers who are paid to work kids out - this trend is great for families with disposable income to spare but can create inequity in basketball based upon family income. Cambridge Basketball Lab was created to ensure that expenses are not a barrier for any child looking to work on their game and get better!

15 mins - Closing stretch, inspiration, and exit

Do I have to go to every workout? Or can I just go to one a week?
You do not have to go to every workout! Your family can sign you up for as many workouts as you want to attend, just make sure to please attend every workout you sign up for! At times some workout nights will fill up and need to move to a waitlist - if you are on the waitlist, we’ll be in touch as soon as a spot opens up. Please do not show up without registering!
What should I do if I signed up but am unable to make a session?
If you signed up for a session but are unable to make it for any reason, please reach out to Coach Matty ASAP at mgm3mgm@gmail.com or cambridgebasketballlab@gmail.com - That way we can let someone in off the waitlist! Forgetting to cancel sessions will hurt your standing in the program.
Is Cambridge Basketball a league? Are there teams and games?
No! Cambridge Basketball Lab does not have any games/leagues/pickup. The hours we have are to work on individual skills and improvement. For the greats in any activity, they spend hundreds of hours practicing their skills for every minute they spend “playing” their sport. ’ We provide a skill-based session working on developing you to be a better person and player both on and off the court! Our goal of our sessions and something we talk about a lot is the concept of getting that #1percentbettereveryday! You can’t see or feel 1% but it adds up over time.
